This little tool prevents the curved shim from sliding and prevents any finger-damaging accidents occurring. To attach to a shim, just bang the end of the holder against a hard surface and the shim can be placed at varying positions between the metal sleeve and the rod. The shim can then be clamped in place. This positioning can be readjusted by pulling the holder apart.
